What we process

We may process your name, company, business contact details, correspondence, quotation and booking information, shipment contacts, portal account data and information required for invoicing, compliance and claims handling.

Website statistics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and interactions such as quote, phone, email, portal and video clicks. Google Analytics remains disabled until you allow Statistics in the privacy settings. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.

RFQ Assistant

The RFQ Assistant structures shipment information that you enter, such as routes, cargo details and business contact details, so you can prepare a quotation request. The extraction runs within Skye’s website application and does not send the entered text to an external AI model. At the final step, the website opens a pre-filled message in your own email application. Nothing is submitted to or stored in the website’s RFQ inbox; you decide whether to send the email. The automated extraction is not a binding booking, quotation, acceptance decision or guarantee of capacity.

Shipment contacts

Operational shipment data may concern shippers, consignees, supplier contacts, drivers, agents, customer employees and other transport-related contacts. Skye may receive these details from customers, carriers, agents or logistics partners rather than directly from the individual.

Why and on what basis

We use personal data to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, perform and administer forwarding services, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate business interests and maintain business relationships. Optional website statistics are processed on the basis of consent.

Sharing, transfers and security

Data is shared only where needed with carriers, agents, customs representatives, warehouse providers, IT and communication suppliers, Google for consented analytics, professional advisers and authorities. International freight and technology services can require data to be processed outside the European Economic Area; where required, we use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.

Retention and your rights

We retain data only as long as needed for the purpose and applicable statutory retention periods. USER INPUT REQUIRED — the approved retention period or objective deletion criteria for email correspondence and the Google Analytics property must be confirmed. Quote details are not stored by the website when it prepares an email in your email application. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
